Nail Factory Welcomes All
Barlochan House Residents in Palnackie were thrilled after visiting the Nail Factory, showing Kenneth Ikin’s exhibition of paintings and sculpture. ‘This is just what Dalbeattie needs. We never had a place like this before when I lived here,’ remarked one visitor.

Visitors were invited to touch the sculptures, including a giant ceramic hand. ‘People underestimate the therapeutic effect of art for people of all ages’, said Rupinder Dulay, the Gallery’s Curator. The visit ended with sophisticated tea and cakes. They hope that this will become a regular excursion for residents of Barlochan House.

The Nail Factory, a light and airy gallery, hosts workshops and exhibitions and is located at 56 Southwick Road. For information about exhibitions and events click on or pick up a brochure, available in all Stewartry libraries.
